Coffin Mulch - "SPECTRAL INTERCESSION" CASSETTE Review

Artist: Coffin Mulch Label: Gurgling Gore Year: 2023

Picture
Coffin Mulch the much anticipated follow up of their 2021 release with Caligari Records, "Septic Funeral."
After listening to the album, I keep coming back to the first first 30 seconds of the opening track.

How unorthodox, and yet gives a welcoming Gorguts vibe. In my opinion it sounds so unorganized yet totally death metal I get the Gorguts vibe here.

The remainder of the opening track is very good, very tight, which rhythmically sets the tone  for the rest of the album; an up-tempo tremolo, riff fest, of death metal! They manage to toss in some shredding solos too!

The vocals are cavernous it adds as an exclamation point when the songs need that extra push into the next riff.

Gurgling Gore has been behind a lot of great releases throughout the last few years and I will say they’re the roster’s stand out at the moment.

This album is very enjoyable, whether you're in love with death metal or not its very simplistic or conversely something complex.

The cassette sounds well  as we know from Gurgling Gore, so no worries there.

Seek this album out if you like death metal at all. It doesn’t matter OSDM, Slam,
Modern, I know you’ll dig this.
